  • What photos should I send you of my pet?

    Please select three high quality photos of your pet, considering that the angle of the photos you send me will be the angles that I paint from. Feel free to choose a favorite moment with them, a favorite memory of them, or send an extra photo with a favorite toy that you would like included in the photo.

  • What if my pet passed away, and I don't have great photos?

    Memorial portraits are my most popular request. I understand that sometimes we don't get the chance to take the perfect photo before we have to say goodbye. Please send the absolute best quality photos that you have, with good lighting, and we can work together on creating an accurate portrait of them!

  • What else should I include in my request?

    Please include the following in your pet portrait request:

    • Three high quality, well-lit photos
    • Any important elements of the photos you would like included in the painting
    • A short story about your pet to help me capture their spirit through paint
    • Any colors that you would prefer to see in the piece
    • What style you would prefer to see most in the painting: abstract, realism, or a combination.

Commission Pricing Guidelines

Commissions start with a $100 minimum, regardless of medium or size.

The pricing guideline is as follows. Prices are based on $1.25 per square inch and are subject to change depending on the complexity of your piece. The following price points are standard available canvas sizes.

  • 8in. x 10in. = $100
  • 9in. x 12in. = $150
  • 12in. x 12in. = $180
  • 11in. x 14in. = $200
  • 12in. x 16in. = $250
  • 16in. x 20in. = $400
  • 18in. x 24in. = $540

Other Notes:

  • Paintings are allowed to dry fully (approximately three days) before being varnished and equipped with a hanging wire.
  • The buyer is responsible for shipping costs.

Completion timelines range!

I have finished pieces in as quickly as one day, and I have finished pieces after several months. I am straightforward about this - if you need a project done by a certain deadline, please let me know when submitting your request.

All commissions require a 50% non-refundable deposit, with a signed contract.

Mural Pricing Guide

All of my murals are lovingly created by hand, by brush. No spray paints are used.

Because of this, my murals take time and great care to complete.

What you should know:

  • Pricing starts at $15 per square foot for a four-color mural.
  • Calculate square footage by multiplying the length of your surface by the width.

Example: 7ft. x 8ft. = 56 sq. ft.

  • Calculate the price estimate by multiplying square footage by $15 and by $20 for range.

Example: 56 x $15 = $840

56 x 20 =$1,120

Base price range for a four-color 56 sq. ft mural = $840-$1,120

  • Because more colors require more paints, there is a $30 charge for each additional color.

Additional fees:

  • Distances over 30 miles from Amherst, WI may require an additional travel fee, depending on the length of the project.
  • Murals require more than paint! The surface of your mural may require cleaning, priming, and repairs of small damages or imperfections. You can do this on your own, or it can be factored into to the mural cost (for interior walls ONLY). I cannot be responsible for repairing structural damages - those must be repaired by a liscenced contractor.

Other Notes:

  • Interior walls must be primed with a primer suitable for interior latex acrylic paints.
  • Exterior walls must be primed with a primer suited for the surface (wood, metal, vinyl, etc)., and then painted accordingly. Specialized paints may have a higher cost, which will add to your mural costs.
  • Please consult with a paint store, a professional painting service, or with me for more guidance.

Completion timeframe:

  • Murals ranging from 25 sq. ft. to 100 sq. ft. take me 1-7 days to complete, depending on complexity of the design, and travel times. This does not include time for creating a sketch or draft.
  • Murals are drafted by hand or digitally, using a projector to complete the final product with accuracy.
  • Up to two drafts and one consultation are included in mural price. Any additional drafts or consultations will include an additional fee.

A 50% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract is required for all murals.
